Sungani Lodge

South Luangwa

Sungani Lodge is the most southerly safari operation in South Luangwa National Park, roughly 70 kilometres from Mfuwe Town in a remote and exclusive area. The family operation has transformed a once neglected area to a luxurious safari dream. Sungani means custodian/ keeper in a local language and rightly so as the Sungani family have become keepers of this remote gem!

This upscale lodge boasts gorgeous views, delicious gourmet food, luxurious accommodation, hospitable staff and most importantly knowledgable and passionate guides. The entire lodge is built on elevated decking, so guests can wander around during the day. The main area of the lodge has a variety of seating spaces with unique art pieces, table books, games of chess and soft comfortable loungers where guests can enjoy their time. The main pool is a great spot to cool off and keep an eye out for wildlife.
