Bonanza Resort

Bonanza is a well-known and prestigious Golf Club in Lusaka located off the airport road just outside the hustle and bustle of the city. The recently opened hotel located on the grounds of the golf club is called the Bonanza Resort. We decided to spend the day out of the office and combine our end of year team building lunch with a site inspection of the new resort.

The attention to detail throughout the resort is immaculate. The African inspired décor is balanced nicely with chic touches of modernism. Throughout the resort there are many things that catch your eye such as the use of steel beams to accentuate an industrial feel, the use of woven baskets to add a local touch and of course the beautifully manicured grounds, it is a golf course after all! We visited the pool area, the restaurants, the conference rooms, the gym and the spa before we broke off for lunch. We had a buffet lunch in the main restaurant and discussed our targets for 2021. 

After lunch we visited the suites and the standard rooms, all overlooking the golf course. The suites are decked with a kitchenette, an ensuite bathroom with a deep tub and a shower. The standard rooms are ensuite with showers. All the rooms have TV's, hair dryers, fridges, ironing facilities and tea and coffee making facilities. 

We think this will be a lovely stop for guests with some time to kill, it is not far from the airport and there isn’t much traffic so getting there is easy! Instead of spending a long layover at the airport why not pop over for a drink, lunch, a massage or even better still an overnight stay!
