Hello Moses. We had a wonderful time at every phase of our safari. We are so grateful for your recommendations and handling of all the planning. It totally paid off. Bilimungwe was fantastic and we loved being way back in the bush with very few other visitors in the area. That camp is also excellent. Saw lots of leopard in particular. The Luangwa Safari House was probably our favorite stop on the entire trip. The staff was great, the game plentiful and food outstanding. As you know, the game come all around the house and one day we came home to find three baboons drinking out of the swimming pool! We loved that wide open place and all of its surroundings. The flight down to Lower Zambezi was perfect and we really enjoyed the Royal Zambezi Lodge and all the waterfront activities. One of my grandsons caught two tiger fish, and that was his top priority in life! That location right on the water is very scenic and we really enjoyed the place. I also think the order in which we did each place was perfect. Thanks again for all your hard work for us in planning. We really appreciated it. The arrangements were all perfect and worked out well. Best, Jud
Hi Karen, Thanks for checking in. It was a great trip, truly. The weather was great. The bat excursions and our guide, Simon, was very accommodating. The food was quite good. The rooms were very clean, housekeeping was very diligent. It was a good trip and the long drive was worth it.
Hello Emma and Moses, We had a fabulous time in Kaingu, as usual. It is such a magical place and the staff and accommodations are perfect. We hope to make this our annual Thanksgiving tradition and return next year yet again. We especially enjoyed the family chalet, I am not sure if we could go back to the regular ones now.
We had a great time in South Luangwa. Robin's house was fantastic and all staff were amazing in making our stay so special. However, I have to single out Obi for being such a great guide and manager. He went out of his way to ensure we had some great game drives and saw as much as possible; and kept an eye on the workings of the house so that we were well taken care of. Also, Steven for being such a great chef - he was so flexible with all of our requests and always passionate about his cooking. The house itself was very private and relaxing, really works well for family groups. Overall, I think this was one of the best safaris we have been on. Many thanks to Karen for making all the arrangements and for recommending Robin's House.
We certainly had an amazing time. The transfers from the airport and in between the camps were seamless. We absolutely loved Lion Camp. Our driver/ guide was so knowledgeable and knew where to look for animals. He even extended our time out on occasion, when we were looking for leopards and lions in the evenings. Wayne and Vicky, the lodge managers were so hospitable and friendly. Their whole staff were top notch and the food excellent. The chalets have been remodeled and are so lovely. They have these state of the art cooling systems which are efficient and effective in keeping us cool. Resident elephants added to the wild bush feel. We loved it! Thank you for your excellent service, Maya & Ian
Dear Yvonne (Time + Tide), Dear Emma, Just a few words to tell you that our trip to LZNP was an unconditional success from the beginning until the end. Really, it could not have been better. The staff at Chongwe River Camp is simply amazing, so well trained, so humble, so nice, so knowledgeable. We felt like a King, a Queen, and a Princess! The infrastructure is impeccable. The food... Vincent is the Chef I would like to have at the residence (Vincent followed all my requests in relation to the type of food Emma and I wanted to have, without compromising Arthur's gourmet palate for fatter, sweeter, and more diverse food). Michael, the butler, is a real gentleman, Ronald, our young guide (not even 30 years old) is simply unique and has a wonderful future in front of him. Given, the assistant of Michael was extremely helpful as was Bob, the guide assisting Ronald. Nezzy and Mwaca monitored everything in a very discrete way to ensure that everything would run perfectly. Indeed, they fully succeed! Thanks to both of you for your warm and continuous assistance. It is clear in our mind that we will go back to a Time and Tide lodge in the near future.
Dear Emma, we had a great trip to Kayila and were very touched by the care package in our room courtesy of you 🙏🏻The kids coloured all their pages and we felt it necessary to finish all the wine 😊The lodge was great and just what we were looking for. All the staff were excellent and honestly couldn’t fault it. A very nice lodge and we were well looked after. Thanks to you and your team for putting it together for us. All the best Ross
Hi Tendai, We had a fabulous weekend at the Chongwe House. It was an incredible space that suited our family perfectly. We love being that close to the outdoors. Even when inside we felt like we were enjoying the Lower Zam. It was my first time ever into the park itself and they made it so easy to get there, even on the water. The guide was fantastic and the service superb. The flight was also incredibly convenient. After 10 years here, it was a lot of firsts for us. We are now thoroughly spoiled. In terms of animals, the highlights were 2 leopards, a male lion, a hyena, and buffalo. We added about 6 new birds to our list. Thank you so much for setting it up for us.
Dear Emma, thanks for the follow up, our trip to Chongwe Suites was amazing, the location was perfect. The people at the lodge where amazing, even Michael who took care of us at the suites was really good, our tour guide was amazing, food was excellent, to be honest there wasn’t anything we had an issue with, it was a very rustic and natural set up. Defiantly worth recommending.
Dear Emma, thank you so, so much for all your help with arrangements for our October trip! Thank you for your lovely card and the delicious bottle of Tokara sauv. blanc, as well! You are so thoughtful. Well I don't know what we'll do now that we've stayed at the Royal Zambezi because we just all want to go back!! It was the nicest place we've ever stayed with incredible food, top-notch guiding, a super accommodating staff, and a prime location! Heaps of ellies in camp & we had a pride of lions by our chalet one night. We even saw an aardvark! We could gush for days about our stay. Russ and I want to go back in the rainy season, even. Ben and Cora, who are so used to camping & eating biltong & salticracks w cheese, have asked me to get the recipe for everything the Royal served! The presidential suites were spectacular and the kids loved the plunge pools! Wallace is a phenomenal guide- I'd ask for him again in a second. They even did a special dinner for us in the bush one night- so unexpected and our guests were blown away (as were we!). What a way to start the trip and it was so perfect for our 2 families. Masuku (in Choma) was terrific and we got to go birding with Rory. Rory's new app for Birds of Zambia is nearly done and should be on iTunes wiithin the next 2 weeks. The running there was great, too, and the little pool is just perfect. For birders / bikers / runners it's a destination in and of itself. We were so glad to stay there. Food was simple farm fare (roast chicke & pork & veggies)- all fresh and delicious. Cute simple thatched chalets and loads of birds right by the main house & chalet as Rory has birdbaths & feeders everywhere. Garden Villa was well situated and perfect for our two families. The staff is so kind and we walked to the curio market one morning. Even though it's near the main road, it's very quiet where the house is. The pool at Garden Villa is great! The Devil's Pool trip organized by Tongabezi is worthwhile and a very special way to see the falls- I thought it was good value for money, actually. The kids loved the reptile park! Thank you so very very much for all your help and as always, for your great recommendations!
Hi Tendai! We had an absolute blast! Thank you so much for setting it all up, Flatdogs was incredible. Our chatel was beautiful and the staff was SO friendly and hospitable. Becca (one of the camp directors) even went out of her way to give us some of the delicious chili sauce they make there! We also met the owners, Jess and Adrian, who were so sweet and personable. And our safari guide Jeffery was brilliant! He was so smart, kind, and an absolute joy to be around. We saw leopards, giraffes, zebras, lions, and all sorts of antelope! I don't think Mairead and I had one bad thing to say about the entire trip! Thank you again so much for setting everything up, we look forward to retuning in the future! ~Cory
Hi Tendai - To sum it up - fantastic! The flights were all smooth. Kafunta was beautiful. There wasn’t an abundance of wildlife this time of year but nevertheless we saw animals - and of course the beautiful scenery. With them the animal highlights were wild dogs (!), lion, leopard, lots of giraffe and storks. We were happy with Kafunta. But then! The bush camp - oh my. That was a treat. Amazing. We saw lots of Buffalo, some elephants but not a whole lot else (animal wise) - until the last day when we tracked a leopard hunting impala. She made the kill, carried the impala up the tree just ahead of the hyenas chasing. It was thrilling. Truly - the service and quality of the guides at the bush camp was stellar. Wow. Our friends were so happy with their trip - best vacation ever, they said (the first part included climbing table mountain, wine tasting, and Vic falls). Thank you so much for putting the Zambia portion together for us. And - thank you so much for the gifts. That was a nice touch. I now want to make a tour of the bush camps! We have a few more years to make that happen.... Cheers Nina
