Camp Hwange is a very intimate camp, perfect for guests who want a truly wilderness experience and a wonderful feeling of being in large open areas. The camp is on the same level everywhere, linking you to the surrounding nature and has been built specifically to observe the water source to which many animals come and drink at, next to a century-old ebony tree.
Back to Hwange National ParkSituated in its own private concession deep in the Sinamatella area, situated in the northern part of the Hwange National Park. Access is via seat in charter flight into Giraffe Springs Airstrip or Hwange Airport or via road transfer from Victoria Falls via Hwange Main Camp or Mbala Gate.

Activities are centred on game drives and walks or a combination of the two. They are able to conduct these activities on their private concession and also have access to the Hwange National Park as a whole. Walks are especially exciting and their professional licensed guides pride themselves on their knowledge of the big and small things that make up the environment. They also offer night drives on their concession where you get to experience what goes on in the wild after dark. There are a number of water holes in the area that attract an abundant variety of animals and birdlife.
Children aged 8 years and older are welcome at Camp Hwange. There may be a requirement to book a private vehicle. Children aged 12 years and older can join walking safaris (at the guide's discretion).
There is one two bedroomed Family suite, separated by a 5 metre corridor. Children under 14 years can also be accommodated on the room sleeper couch.
Open all year round
Camp Hwange supports Children in The Wilderness (CITW) in conjunction with Wilderness Safaris. They also support Sinamatella Clinic in monetary terms and support Sinamatella school with book and stationary donations. Dave Carson the owner of Camp Hwange is a trustee to Bhejane Trust. They also make monthly donations of fuel to National Parks for their patrols.
The entire camp runs on solar power
