MAUNGA HEALTH CENTRE
The Maunga community is located on the outskirts of Livingstone, Zambia. When African Bush Camps first opened Thorntree River Lodge in 2017, the closest health clinic for the community was 20km away in Livingstone. The African Bush Camps Foundation has therefore partnered with the community to build a Health Centre that will greatly improve access to basic facilities and empower the community to care for its members.
PACK FOR A PURPOSE
Make your travels meaningful by using a small amount of space in your luggage to pack supplies that can assist the Maunga Health Centre. A small space can make a big difference.
Conservation
In a campaign to continue to reduce our environmental impact, African Bush Camps provides every guest with a stainless steel water bottle that can be refilled with filtered water in camp. All of the remote bush camps are operated by solar power with backup generators where needed.
Power is mains electricity with back up generator.
WiFi is available in the Library.
Network coverage is available in the area.
