Kasikizi Camp is a complementary bush camp to Luambe Camp and is situated in a different part of the park to Luambe Camp, opening up the southern part of the park which offers new loops and areas of the park to discover.
Back to LuambeLocated in the Southern Sector of Luambe National Park. Luambe can be accessed either via direct charter flight from Lusaka, via a seat in charter flight from South Luangwa or via a 4 hour road transfer from south Luangwa.
3 x Grass chalets
Room features – Each chalet has power for charging (all solar powered), an en-suite, open-air bathroom with running water and shower as well as a private verandah – all overlooking the floodplain, offering panoramic views of the Luangwa River.
There is a small thatched main area with a bar and seating area for lunches and snacks but breakfasts and dinners will mostly be served on open fires on the floodplain with the sun rising or under the stars respectively.
Kasikizi Camp is great for walking safaris, leaving straight from camp and heading out into the wilderness. Game drives will lead to the so far undiscovered south of the park with new safari loops created as guests join us on this exciting discovery. There will be little overlap in terms of activities with Luambe Camp (unless for great sightings of course)
Minimum age is 12 years
No family rooms are available at Kasikizi Bush Camp
Open from 15th June until 31st October each year.
Supporting Luambe’s surrounding communities; to date the company have provided multiple fresh-water boreholes, as well as new/improved farming methods.
As the only operator in Luambe National Park Luambe Camps have been responsible for re-establishing the tourism facilities, and thereby generating profit through sustainable safari tourism.
The camp is run on solar electricity with a backup generator.
There is no WiFi or cellular reception
