Bushcamp Company - Kapamba

South Luangwa

Set on the banks of the shallow, spring-fed Kapamba River, Kapamba is surrounded by some of the South Luangwa National Park’s richest wildlife.

Fully rebuilt in 2020 and now boasting a swimming pool, a real treat for those hot October days. The central bar and dining room is positioned under a huddle of matumi and sausage trees, with a wide deck that stretches out with views of the Kapamba River.

If that’s still not close enough for you, why not enjoy your G&T from the middle of the river itself, your feet dipped in the cool, crystal shallows.

Game Drives and Walking Safaris

Walks between Kapamba and Bilimungwe and Zungulila are possible, making this a great combination of camps if you want to experience walking camp to camp.

Get out into the bush and explore the rich diversity of the surrounding area on a morning walking safari, and then later in the day, jump into a Land Rover for an afternoon/evening game drive.

On special occasions the camp can also arrange an afternoon wading through the cool waters of the Kapamba where a scenic sundowner or special meal will be waiting for you.

When the weather is right, you can spend siesta time in the Kapamba River right in front of camp!
