Mchenja, meaning "ebony", occupies a stunning setting beneath a magnificent grove of these trees on the banks of the Luangwa River. It is just a short morning's walk upstream from Kakuli Bush Camp and is in an area teaming with wildlife.
Overlooking a wide river expanse, Time + Tide Mchenja is wonderful for watching large herds of elephants crossing the Luangwa River. This is Time and Tide’s most luxurious bushcamp – and it combines very well with a stay at one of their other more rustic bushcamps or in combination with Chinzombo.
