Kafue River Lodge is your reward at the end of your journey into the North-Eastern Kafue. The stretch of the Kafue River where the lodge is located is varied, gentle and favoured by wildlife. The 4 ensuite chalets overlook the river and the sounds of hippo carry clearly across the grounds with the miombo woodland behind camp also playing home to a steady stream of game and birds.
Back to KafueKafue River Lodge is located inside the Lunga Luswishi Game Management Area bordering Kafue. The easiest way of getting to them is via road transfer from Lusaka, a drive of approximately 5 – 6 hours. Your 2nd option will be more expensive but shorter on travel time will be a charter flight to Hippo Airstrip where you will be met and transferred by road into camp.

Kafue River Lodge has 2 central areas which include;
An open riverside “fire pit” for starlit dining and early morning coffee
The beautiful main lapa area which is built on a deck overlooking the river offering cool shade and 180 degree river views.

Each cottage can sleep a max of 4 people in two queen size beds

Jifumpa Village School is supported by the company through donations of laptops, building materials, a borehole and annual cash donations for facility improvement
