Kaya Mawa is located on the south western top of Likoma island on Lake Malawi. Accessed via scheduled or chartered flights from Lilongwe and Mfuwe and then a short drive across the island to the property.
Each room at Kaya Mawa has a different design and location on the Island and we will assist you in choosing the room that we feel suits you best. Below is some information and pictures to give you an insight into what they have:

Green Safaris continues to support the Katundu community workshop at Kaya Mawa, to produce stunning artcraft from recycled materials.
Green Safaris runs a community farming project on the island and purchases fresh produce from the community. They help fund and facilitate the building of various schools on the island as well as running a reforestation, recycling and waste management program.
Kaya Mawa is being designed to operate 100% on solar power with a new solar farm recently invested on the island. In addition, Green Safaris is investing into Electric Quad Bikes and will be introducing an eLandy.
The whole island is run off a generator
