Mwaleshi Camp, located in the vast wilderness of North Luangwa National Park is part of the Remote Africa Portfolio and is owned and operated by the Coppinger Family. The camp offers a rustic and very personal experience and is a truly special and remarkable place. Walkers enjoy the freedom of Africa's limitless expanse on foot, accompanied by an experienced manager/guide and an armed National Park scout.

Location
Located within the North Luangwa National Park, hidden within a scenic bend of the Mwaleshi River 10km upstream from the confluence with the Luangwa River. The camp is accessed via a short scenic flight from South Luangwa.
Information
The camp has 4 rustic thatch and reed rooms with a view onto the Mwaleshi River (two twin, two king)
Room features include rechargeable fans, open bathrooms with hot and cold running water
Camp is located within Zambia’s only black rhino sanctuary
Exclusive use of the camp is available for bookings of 4 guests or more
Camp is set on the banks of the shallow Mwaleshi river, which allows one to walk in the cool water and splash about in shallow pools
Sun loungers on the water’s edge
Vehicle allows access to walking areas further afield
2 walking safaris per day, with the occasional night-drive back to camp from remote walking locations
Children 12+ are welcome
There are no family rooms and children will be accommodated in their own room

Tafika Fund (~ $ 65 000 annually) run a Football for Wildlife league which supports 250 female and male players across 9 remote communities, half of which are in the North Luangwa.
Conservation Projects: bed night contributions to South Luangwa and North Luangwa Conservation Programmes and communications support offered to the Carnivore Programme.
Schools supported by the camp: Mkasanga Basic school.
